TICKET INFO VERY SOON! ✦ www.mostovna.com ✦ ✦ https://godflesh1.bandcamp.com ✦ ✦ https://syk-official.bandcamp.com ✦ ✦ https://www.doomstarbookings.com ✦ We are East Edge Collective. We organized hundreds of concerts in Italy and Slovenia: Gorizia, Nova Gorica, Trieste, Friuli (Pieffe Factory, Mostovna, Tetris)... We play in an unspecified number of bands, run radio shows and webzines (Abrasive, The New Noise...). And now we joined our forces. "Edge" because we live on a border, love sharp cutting sounds and want to always push ourselves over the edge. ▃▃▃ East Edge Collective & Doomstar Bookings present... ❝Industrial metal’s most intimidating band❞ (Invisible Oranges) ✚ Godflesh have been heralded as pioneers within the music scene, generating an austere and hypnotic sound. Melding different influences (metal, industrial, electronic music, dub), Godflesh's innovative music is widely regarded as a foundational influence on industrial metal, post-metal and a lot of extreme bands. Godflesh was initially founded in Birmingham in 1988 by Justin Broadrick (guitar, vocals and programming), former guitarist of Napalm Death and Head of David, and the ex-Fall of Because bassist Christian Green. The simplicity of the line up characterized Godlfesh’s infamous appeal, with the on-stage use of a drum machine and various collaborative contributions from musicians within the industry. Signing to Earache Records in the late 1980s, the band released their debut, Streetcleaner (1989) to critical acclaim. After releasing 1992's Pure (trivia: for this album Loop’s Robert Hampson was part of the line-up) and 1994's major label debut Selfless, they started experimenting with live drums, as well as hip hop and breakbeat influences. The resulting releases, Songs of Love and Hate (1996) and Us and Them (1999), were followed by Hymns (2001). Broadrick ended Godflesh in 2002. During the time away, Green pretty much retired while Broadrick explored sounds that were either more organic (Jesu), more experimental (Greymachine), or more ambient (Final) than Godflesh (and we should not forget the industrial techno of JK Flesh). Broadrick and Green reformed Godflesh in 2010, releasing A World Lit Only by Fire (2014) and later the highly successful Post Self (2017). (source: official bio and Earache) ❝I first experienced Godflesh when I picked up the Grindcrusher compilation from Earache Records as a teenager. The otherworldly power of Streetcleaner effected me in a way that I still find hard to describe. Since then I have been an avid follower of all music that Justin creates. Though I celebrate the expansive Broadrick catalog as a whole, it is his forays into melody under the Godflesh name I really connect with. Selfless as is an album that has everything for me. Punishing heaviness, incredible hooks, and limitless emotional depth. It is a true honor that they have agreed to play this album in its entirety at Roadburn 2018❞ (Jacob Bannon, Converge) ▃▃▃ ❝Technical Italians with a very undjentlemanly approach❞ (Metal Hammer) ✚ In December 2016 Italy-based progressive extreme metal collective SYK (pronounced “sick”) have released their sophomore full-length (I-Optikon) via Philip H. Anselmo’s own Housecore Records. Led by the nihilistic and off the grid vocal assault of Dalila Kayros, SYK singes ears with their weighty, grim, complex, noise-laden blend of apocalyptic-sounding savagery. Forged by Stefano Ferrian and Federico De Bernardi Di Valserra, both former members of the well-known long-running avant-grind monstrosity Psychofagist, the band released their debut Atoma via Czech imprint L’Inphantile Collective in 2014. Line up: Dalila Kayros: vocals Stefano Ferrian: guitars Marcello Cravini: guitars Federico De Bernardi Di Valserra: drums ▃▃▃ ✦ ITALIANO ✦ Noi siamo l’East Edge Collective. Abbiamo organizzato centinaia di concerti a Gorizia, Nova Gorica, Trieste (Pieffe Factory, Mostovna, Tetris…) e in Friuli, suoniamo in un numero imprecisato di band, gestiamo programmi radio e webzine (Abrasive, The New Noise…). Ora ci siamo messi insieme. Us and Them (1999), poi Hymns (2001). ➤ https://goo.gl/maps/hkN6iF7s34J2
